Sertaç Yerlikaya
Sertaç Yerlikaya has been appointed as a strategy consultant at TÜBİTAK, focusing on the development of strategic roadmaps for the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s “National Technology Initiative.” She has led key projects such as the 2023 Industry and Technology Strategy, the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, the Mobility Vehicle and Technologies Strategy, the 5G and Beyond Technologies Roadmap for Vertical Sectors, and the Digital Transformation of Industry Roadmap.
She serves as a Steering Committee Member for the World Economic Forum’s Turkey Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and as an Advisor to the Minister of Industry and Technology. Additionally, she holds several prominent positions, including Vice President of the Boğaziçi University Industry 4.0 Platform, Board Member of the Boğaziçi University Data Analytics Center, and Advisory Board Member at Cappadocia University.
Sertaç Yerlikaya has played a key role in the pioneering “Turkey Open Source Platform,” one of the flagship projects of the 2023 strategy, where she facilitated the collaboration between private sector, public institutions, NGOs, universities, and communities to develop open-source projects. She also served as the Country Director of the new-generation 42 Software Schools. For her leadership in this role, she was honored with the “Leader Making a Difference with New Technologies” award in the “Women Leaders in Technology” competition, organized by Microsoft in collaboration with KAGİDER and the Habitat Association.
As an AI Fellow at The Atlantic Council, her work focuses on advocating for responsible AI technologies in low and middle-income countries.
Sertaç Yerlikaya is a seasoned technology strategist and digital transformation expert with extensive experience across various sectors, including consulting, telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, and academia. She continues her academic work on the organizational impact of digital transformation and transformative technologies and serves as a Board Advisor to industrial companies and technology startups. She is married and the mother of Kaya, who has recently dedicated himself to motorcycle mechanics.
