Prof. Dr. Talha Köse
In 2000, Talha Köse completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University and earned his master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Sabancı University in 2002. Köse received his PhD in 2010 from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University and served as a visiting lecturer at George Mason University (USA), Maastricht University (Netherlands), and Marmara University. He played a role in the establishment of Istanbul Şehir University, where he also served as the Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations.
At the SETA think tank, Köse held positions as Director of Research at the Washington Office, Director of the Society Desk, and Director of the Brussels Desk. Köse was involved in the foundation of Ibn Haldun University, served as Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, and held a position at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Economics, in the Department of Political Science and International Relations. His research areas include International Relations, Conflict Resolution, Peacebuilding, Turkish Politics, ethnic and sectarian identities, and radicalization, with numerous academic publications in Turkish, English, and Arabic. Köse has served as a principal investigator and researcher on numerous national and international academic projects.
On January 10, 2023, during the 75th Anniversary celebrations of the National Intelligence Organization, Talha Köse was appointed as the President of the National Intelligence Academy. He has authored seven books, including two edited volumes, and numerous academic articles published in national and international journals and books.
