Mürsel Taşgın received his bachelor's degree from the Department of Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU), and his master's and doctoral degrees from the Department of Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University. Combining his academic background with industry experience, he served as a lecturer at Bilgi University between 2023 and 2024.
With more than 23 years of experience in information technology, large-scale systems, and artificial intelligence, Taşgın has held key roles in Türkiye and abroad in systems engineering, enterprise architecture, machine learning, graph AI, natural language processing, generative AI, and complex data analytics. Throughout his career, he has led technology- and innovation-driven projects at organizations including Akbank, Turkcell, Kredi Kayıt Bürosu (KKB), Mostly AI (Austria), Savannah Group (UK), Dynatrace (Austria), and Türk Ticaret Bankası, taking on responsibilities ranging from systems engineering to AI research and from enterprise architecture to AI leadership.
Having rejoined Kredi Kayıt Bürosu in 2025, Taşgın serves as Director of AI Management. In this role, he leads the development of the organization's AI strategy, the safe, responsible, and scalable integration of generative AI technologies into business processes, the strengthening of a data-driven decision-making culture, and the expansion of AI capabilities across the organization.
