Born in Izmir in 1966, Mr. Yavuz Ölken graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1989. In 1991, Mr. Ölken started his career as a Risk Engineer at Halk Sigorta. He held the positions of Underwriting Department Manager and Underwriting Department Group Manager at Inter Sigorta and Aviva Sigorta, respectively. In 2002, Mr. Ölken joined AXA Türkiye as Assistant General Manager of Corporate and Commercial Underwriting. Over time, he also assumed the responsibilities of IT & Operational Excellence, Commercial and Corporate Risks Sales, Reinsurance, Risk Engineering, Individual Underwriting, and Health Insurance. As of April 1, 2018, Yavuz Ölken was appointed as the CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of AXA Türkiye and continues to serve in this role. Currently, he is also the Chairman of the Insurance and Private Pension Working Group and France Working Group of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD). Additionally, he is a member of the Non-Life Executive Board of the Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB) and a Board Member of the Special Risks Management Center. As of February 1, 2025, he was appointed as the Data & Artificial Intelligence Leader for AXA International Markets (IMa) in addition to his roles in AXA Türkiye.
