Mehmet Fırat is the Head of Information Technologies and Digital Business Management. He graduated from the Mathematics Department of Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2001 and completed a master’s program in Information Systems Management in the UK in 2002. He later completed the Artificial Intelligence Program at Oxford University in 2019 and the “Chief Digital Officer” program at Northwestern University in 2023. Fırat began his career at Havelsan, where he worked on SAP projects as a consultant, project manager, and program manager. In 2009, he joined Başkent Electricity Distribution Company as a Project Manager, and from 2011 onward, he took on roles at Enerjisa as IT Manager, Head of Project Management Office, and Director of Information Systems. For the past five years, he has been serving as the Head of Information Technologies and Digital Business Management. In addition to his executive responsibilities, Mehmet Fırat actively serves on several boards. He is the Vice Chairman of the Board at Zack AI, a Sabancı subsidiary focused on artificial intelligence, and a Board Member of Eşarj, an electric vehicle charging network company. Furthermore, he plays an active role in organizations at the intersection of technology and energy. He is a Founding Member and Head of the Energy Working Group at the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Association (YZTD), a Board Member at the Association for Digitalization in Energy (EDİDER), and a member of Blockchain Turkey.
