Doç. Dr. Arif Furkan Mendi - HAVELSAN, Director of Business Development
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arif Furkan Mendi completed his undergraduate education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University in 2011, followed by a Master's degree in Information Systems at Hacettepe University and an MBA from Bahçeşehir University. He then graduated as the top doctoral student from Eskişehir Technical University in 2021. Mendi began his professional career at HAVELSAN in 2012, working as a software engineer and project manager on numerous projects. He has carried out corporate transformation projects through his work in technology management and innovation. Since 2021, he has served as Director of Business Development, Solution Engineering, and Product Management at HAVELSAN. He has carried out important work, particularly in the widespread adoption of open source technologies in Turkey. Together with his team, he completed the entire productization process for the PostgreSQL database management product “ODAK” and Turkey's first artificial intelligence platform “MAIN,” contributing to Turkey's digital transformation. Mendi, whose areas of expertise include next-generation technologies such as blockchain, digital twins, and artificial intelligence, serves as a reviewer for numerous national and international research projects and scientific journals. He has over 60 academic publications and 5 patents to his name. Mendi has also been serving as an associate professor at Ostim Technical University since 2022, teaching courses on blockchain, new generation technologies, and project management.
