Arzu Tekir is a Founding Partner at Treeo VC, a U.S.-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage, high-growth AI-native B2B technology startups. Starting her career as a management consultant, Tekir has held senior management positions at technology companies operating in the smart cities and transportation sectors, served on the management team of the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, and implemented various projects in Turkey, Europe, and Africa as the Turkey Director. Tekir founded Urbanite Venture, which provides consulting services to startups operating in the smart cities, mobility, XR, and energy sectors in Miami. She secured $10 million in investment for technology companies and served on the Board of Directors of the EU Tech Chamber Mobility Alliance. She established the US chapter of the Arya Women's Investment Platform and served as its president for two years. She is the author of the book “Now It's Your Time” and the e-book “Blockchain for Smart Cities.” She is a member of the AI Committee at the National Venture Capital Association, the umbrella organization for VC funds in the US.
